What is Spiritual Regression? Just another trend word?

"The Sufi is the son of the moment, always standing on the threshold of the present." — Hazrat Inayat Khan

Sufism is a mystical Islamic belief system and its followers, Sufis, are known for their focus on personal spiritual development through practices such as meditation, prayer, and devotional rituals. They believe that direct personal experience of God, rather than adherence to religious doctrine, is the key to spiritual enlightenment. The quote above is emphasizing that the Sufi lives in the present moment and this is where the spiritual journey starts and the spiritual connection to the divine is made. This may be seen as a reminder that true spirituality is not about adhering to a set of beliefs or practices, but about being fully present and open to the spiritual experiences that are available in the moment.

Spirituality can be a broad and complex concept and can be expressed in various ways depending on an individual's culture, religion, personal beliefs, and experiences. It can also be independent of religious beliefs and practices, and may involve a connection to nature, art, music, or other forms of creativity. Some people view spirituality as a way to connect with a sense of inner peace, transcendence, or enlightenment, while others may see it as a way to connect with a higher power or to understand one's place in the world. It often involves a search for meaning and purpose in life, and may include practices such as meditation, prayer, or rituals.

So what is Spiritual Regression? And what does Regression mean?

“Regression” refers to the process of returning to an earlier stage of development or a previous state or condition. In the context of psychology, it can refer to the process of revisiting past experiences, memories, or emotions in order to understand and resolve current issues or problems.

In some forms of psychotherapy, such as hypnotherapy as well as Past Life and Regression Therapy, regression is used as a technique to help individuals access and process past experiences that may be contributing to present difficulties or emotional distress.

Spiritual Regressoin may refer to a form of therapy that is also called “Between Lives Spiritual Regression” or “Life Between Lives” Regression. When I write “Spiritual Regression”, I refer to the process of facilitating a client’s session to gain access and understand experiences that occur between lives, such as the transition from one life to another and the process of choosing a new life. These sessions typically involve deep hypnosis, during which the individual is guided to awaken subconscious memories of what happens between lives, such as meeting with spirit guides, choosing new parents, and deciding on the life lessons to be learned in the next life. The belief behind Between Lives Spiritual Regression is that these experiences can provide insight and understanding into the individual's purpose and mission in life, and can help them to make sense of their current challenges and struggles.
